Books about Boys and Going Green

Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and I am going to tell you about books about boys. Have you noticed how like every book is about a boy and his problems? For example, Hoot, Bridge to Terabithia, um... Four Miles to Pinecone, The Cay(although his problems are only slightly justified), Thank you Jackie Robinson, and so many more that I can't menction. Can anyone think of any more? Comment if you can, cuz I can think of more too, but I just want to see if I'm forgetting any of them. So here's my Going Green tip: Encourage your friends to Go Green! Hey whatsup I am Great-K8 and today my message is: Help Out! I mean, how easy can it get? Me-Rox's Idea

Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and Me-Rox has a tip for everyone. So here it is: "Okay, obviously, your reading this. And obviously, you're on a computer if not a cell phone. A lot of people have Macs. When you finish using it, don't just log out, turn off the computer/phone. It will save a lot of energy. Also after you finish listening to your iPod, don't just leave it there. Turn it off by pressing down the pause button. Friendly tip that has nothing to do with saving energy: On your iPod there is a little switch. It freezes your screen so when you have your iPod in your pocket and accidentally press a button you don't start playing music. Use it. Actually that does save energy because it keeps your iPod off so it saves your saved battery power and you don't have to use energy and charge it again." Thank you Me-Rox! This will help hopefully help a lot of people. I am going to put a tip for Going Green in each post! So that was the tip for this post. Do Your Part Some More

Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and I have two very important message for you: Do Your Part Some More and Go Green! Yesterday, at school, the lunch was soup and sandwiches. The soup was in Styrofoam bowls! Do you know how long it takes for Styrofoam to decompose in landfills? NEVER!!! It never decomposes. It just sits in a landfill forever. Imagine living forever. That's how long it will take for Styrofoam to decompose. Later that night, I went to this thing where you donate money, and then you get as much soup as you want and you get your own bowl that someone made. So the soup was served in Styrofoam bowls! The money went to some good cause, so I guess they needed something cheep, but still! Here's something that you can definitely do: if at your school some food is served on something Styrofoam, talk to your teacher about starting a petition to not have Styrofoam stuff anymore. Here is some more tips for Going Green starting with littler kids, then going to older kids (I'm not implying that older kids shouldn't do this and younger kids shouldn't try to do the other stuff): walk whenever possible; turn off the lights when you leave a room; turn off the water when you're brushing your teeth; if you bring a lunch to school, pack your food in reusable containers; take the bus to school or carpool with someone else or more people; make signs to put in front of trash cans asking people to think if the thing they're about to throw away can be recycled; and finally put on a hat or a sweater when you're cold instead of turning up the heat. Are there more ways to Go Green? Of course! So think of more ways to Go Green and do stuff to help the planet. Well that's all the time I have right now so bye and come back soon!

Do Your Part

Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and I have an important message to tell you: Do Your Part! I mean, is it really that hard to walk an extra foot and put paper in the recycling? I don't think so. It might not even be a foot! So it is insane. Think about Earth day, people! I'm not saying to only recycle on Earth Day, but they have a special day to especially take care of the Earth. Do they have a day when you're exempt from recycling? Do they have a day where you can litter and not get in trouble? No! Maybe I'll start a blog about Going Green. Yeah! I'll start a blog with whoever wants to be a part of it. Comment if you want to be a part of it and I'll probably make it. First, I need either 2 or 3 or more people to help with it. Then, we'll all need to get together and make it. It'll be so cool! So once again, comment if you want to do it.

Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and I decided to copy Me-Rox and interview someone! I interviewed my grandparents cat, Tigerfur. I am written in purple, and Tigerfur is wirtten in gray. By the way, in case you couldn't figure this out, Tigerfur isn't a real tiger. He just thinks that he is. And acts like it. And walks like it. The way he slinks along and pretends to attack his prey is so cool. Anyways, here is the interview:

PEBBLES' BIRTHDAY!!!

Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and today (as you can tell from the title, is Pebbles' Birthday! So happy birthday Pebbles! Go on her blog and tell her happy birthday, but make sure to tell her that I told you to. I can't believe that in the fall it will be the ninth year that we've been friends. I made this special song for her and it's really short and dumb but I still like it and i only thougth of it cuz one of Pebbles' friends couldn't find her hairbrush this morning, so everyone was singing the oh where is my hairbrush song so that's what the tune of it is: Today is your birthday. Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and I am sorry that my 200 post couldn't be awesomer. Here is what I would have written if I had more time: "Hey what's up I am Great-K8 and this is my 200 post! I made it! I actually made it! Did anyone think that I would? I certainly didn't. Well, I am at Pebbles' house with some friends, celebrating! It is Pebbles' birthday tomorrow, and we are all excited! So now, I have something else to celebrate! So Pebbles is turning 12. And yeah... Do you know what's creepy? I don't care if you do or don't, becuz im gonna tell u anyways. This whole blog thing, started becuz of Me-Rox's trip! Then she spread it on to me, then I spread it on to Pebbles, then Pebbles spread it to her whole school(or at least her whole grade) and now here we are! Isn't that creepy?
